Troubleshooting
"I can't see ShareCrew in the menu"
It is under WP Shelf → ShareCrew, for users who can manage WooCommerce. Settings needs an administrator. If WooCommerce is inactive or older than 8.5, ShareCrew stays inactive and says so on the Plugins screen.
"Link clicks are not being credited"
- Tracking mode. In Only with consent (the default), the cookie waits for a WP Consent API plugin to report marketing consent; with no such plugin, it is never set. In Codes only, links never credit.
- Your cache. Check the health pill on the Overview, and Check now. If it fails, it names the layer and the fix — see Caching and /go/.
-
UTM tags. With Add UTM tags to landing links
off, WooCommerce's order attribution cannot credit a
/go/visit. - The creator. A paused or archived creator's link redirects but records nothing.
Codes are credited whatever your cache and consent setup.
"An order has no commission"
- The order is not paid yet. A commission is created at processing or completed.
- No signal named a creator. Attribute it by hand in the order's Creator box.
- The customer is the creator. A self-referral is recorded but never paid.
- Every line is an excluded product or category, or the basis was below your Minimum basis.
- The order made a loss. The commission exists, at 0.
"A commission is on hold"
The reason is on the row. Usually it is Cost unknown — add the cost, then Recompute — or Above the maximum share. Every reason is listed under Commissions.
"A creator's code is refused at checkout"
- Another coupon on the cart is individual use. Turn on Creator codes combine with other coupons if both should apply.
- The customer has used it already — Uses per customer is 1 by default.
- The customer is the creator and self-use is blocked.
- The creator is paused, or the code was rotated.
- Codes are off: the store runs links only.
"/go/ links or the portal answer 404"
Open Settings → Permalinks and click Save Changes. That rebuilds WordPress's URL rules with ShareCrew's in them. A handle that belongs to no creator, or a reserved one, is a 404 on purpose.
"A creator is missing from the payout run"
Payouts → Due gives the reason beside each creator: below the minimum, a negative balance, no payout method or details, an incomplete tax profile, no self-billing agreement, or a refund that could not be reconciled. Most are for the creator to fix in their portal. See What is due.
"Commissions are not maturing"
Maturing runs hourly on WooCommerce's Action Scheduler, which
advances when your site gets traffic or when a real cron job runs
it. If maturation has not run for two hours, the health pill on the
Overview turns to a warning. Check WooCommerce → Status →
Scheduled Actions for the sharecrew group.
"Emails stay in English on a translated site"
Your translation plugin probably captures strings only on page views.
See Languages for the
sharecrew_warm_strings action.
