These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the WP Shelf website, the Gloty WordPress plugin, and any managed translation plans or hosted services we provide (together, the “Services”). By creating an account or using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you are using the Services on behalf of an organization, you agree on its behalf.
1. The plugin and your data
The Gloty WordPress plugin is free and licensed under the GPL. It runs on your own server and stores translations in your own WordPress database, and serving a translated page never calls us. Producing a translation does send the text to the Gloty service, which forwards it to the AI engine it selects for that batch, subject to that engine provider’s own terms. You do not hold or configure a provider account yourself. We store the submitted text and its translation so already-translated strings can be reused; see the Privacy Policy for what is kept and for how long.
2. Accounts and managed plans
Some features — such as managed translation credits — require an account. You are responsible for the accuracy of your account information, for keeping your credentials secure, and for all activity under your account. You must be able to form a binding contract to use the Services.
3. Billing
Gloty monthly plans are billed in advance until cancelled. The migration pack is a one-time purchase and does not create a subscription. Pack characters added to a monthly plan expire at its next billing-period reset; a pack on a non-renewing trial has no monthly reset. Fees are stated at the point of purchase. You can cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and translations already stored in your database remain yours. Except where required by law, fees already paid are non-refundable.
SnippetGrove and Crawlune each offer a separate, one-time trial of 25 generated items after email verification, on one site. SnippetGrove packs add 250 items for $19 or 1,000 for $59; Crawlune packs add 100 items for $19 or 500 for $79. Prices are in USD. Packs do not create a subscription. Trial and purchased items do not refill monthly; purchased items have no calendar expiry while the service remains available. Each product has its own balance. Successful generation consumes items even if you later discard or undo its result; failed or declined work releases its reserved items.
4. Item generation and spending pauses
Hosted item generation — SnippetGrove metadata and Crawlune rewrites — carries a spending-safety budget on each new trial and approved pack license: a ceiling on how many generation attempts that license may make and how much provider cost it may reserve. It exists so that a long run of requests that keep failing cannot spend without limit. The trial includes a pooled ceiling of 100 attempts and $2 in provider cost. Paid packs add the approved pooled safety capacity; these are service spending limits, not additional charges to your card. Existing licenses are not automatically migrated to a new safety policy.
Where a budget is enabled and it is reached, generation pauses for review instead of spending further. A pause is not a failure and nothing is lost: your unused items stay unused, results already generated stay saved and reviewable, and nothing is written to your site. The plugin shows the run as paused for a service review, and the service answers a new generation request on that license with an HTTP 429 and the same explanation.
To resume, contact WP Shelf support at hello@wp-shelf.comwith your site address and what you were generating. A person reviews the license, its counters and what the attempts actually spent, and replies to you with what we found. Where the use is legitimate we raise that license’s limits — an audited change that never resets your usage and never consumes your unused items — and the same items can then be generated again from the plugin. Where we cannot resume it, we tell you why. A pause is never a prompt to buy more items: we will not ask you to pay to lift one while you still have unused items.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Services to:
- break the law or infringe anyone’s rights;
- translate or distribute content you do not have the right to process;
- attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the Services or their infrastructure;
- resell or misrepresent the Services as your own without authorization.
6. Third-party providers
Translation is performed by the Gloty translator service, which sends your text to the AI translation engines we route to — OpenAI and Google Gemini. Your text is processed by those engines under their own terms, and we are not responsible for their availability or output. We may change or add engines as the service evolves.
7. Intellectual property
You retain all rights to your content and your translations. The Gloty name, website, and branding remain ours. The plugin source is licensed to you under the GPL, and nothing here limits your rights under that license.
8. Warranty disclaimer
The Services are provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. Machine translation is not perfect; you are responsible for reviewing translated output before relying on it. We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted or error-free.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Gloty will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for lost profits or data. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Services will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
10. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and, where appropriate, notify account holders. Continued use of the Services after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
