Emails
ShareCrew sends nineteen emails, all of them standard WooCommerce emails grouped under ShareCrew.
To creators
- Application received, Welcome / approved (their code and link), Application declined
- First sale — once
- Sale — off unless the creator opts in; at most one an hour, listing that hour's sales
- Weekly summary — on your Weekly summary day, only in a week with activity; creators can opt out
- Tier promotion, Code rotated, Partnership paused
- Payout sent — with the statement link, or the store-credit code
- Payout method changed — a security notice, always sent
- Gift approved, Gift declined
To you
- New creator application
- Payout run due — on payout day
- Commissions on hold — a daily digest
- Possible code leak
- Gift requested
- Attribution health alert — when the daily
/go/check starts failing
They go to Settings → Emails → Send merchant emails to, or the site's admin email if that is blank.
Switching off and editing
Settings → Emails has a switch for each. Subjects, headings and text are edited under WooCommerce → Settings → Emails, where each has a preview with sample data, and templates can be overridden from your theme like any WooCommerce email. In links-only mode no email mentions a code or a discount, and the two that only make sense with codes — Code rotated and Possible code leak — are not sent.
Optional creator emails carry a one-click unsubscribe. No email carries an attachment or a tracking pixel: statements are links. A batched email more than three days late is dropped rather than sent.
Languages
Creator emails are written in the creator's own WordPress language. If your translation plugin only captures a string when it is shown on a page view, it will never see most of these emails, because they are sent from scheduled jobs. Render every portal and email string on one page so it can capture them:
add_action( 'wp_footer', function () {
if ( is_page( 'creator-program' ) ) {
do_action( 'sharecrew_warm_strings' );
}
} );
The strings are printed hidden, and they add roughly 23 KB to the
page, which is why one page is enough. Use the
sharecrew_warm_strings_extra filter to add strings of
your own.
