Check your license and allowance under WP Shelf → Gloty → Billing. Use your WP Shelf account to buy a plan, view invoices, or manage a subscription.

Every plan includes the complete plugin — automatic translation, SEO, the switcher, the glossary, WooCommerce support, and the translations workspace. Plans differ in volume and number of sites. Higher-volume bespoke tiers are available on request. See the pricing page for current list prices.
When allowances reset
Monthly subscription allowances reset each billing period; unused characters do not roll over. The trial is a one-time grant. A migration pack adds characters to your existing license and does not change its site limit or create a subscription.
Buying a pack on a monthly plan? Use its characters before your next monthly reset: unused pack characters expire with that period. A pack bought on a non-renewing trial has no monthly reset. Your saved translations keep serving after an allowance is used or expires.
Engines
Changed in 1.18.0 Engine access is not a paid-tier perk: every plan, free included, translates on the same engines. Translation runs on OpenAI or Google Gemini, according to the service configuration. The service selects per batch — there is nothing to configure on your site.
Google Translate and DeepL were used by earlier versions and are no longer routed to.
Engine selection happens on the server, so there is no setting to get wrong and nothing to change when the service switches engines.
How quota is counted
This is why the first month is by far the most expensive: the initial backfill translates your whole site. After that, usage tracks how much new content you publish.

Watching your usage
The Billing screen shows characters used against your limit, the percentage consumed, and the next reset for a monthly plan. Gloty also warns you proactively:

Licenses and sites
One license covers a number of sites depending on your plan. Each site that activates the license uses one slot.
Migrating or cloning a site? Deactivate on the old site before activating on the new one, or you will consume two slots for one live site. Uninstall attempts to release the slot unless data retention is enabled; confirm it in your WP Shelf account if the old site is no longer reachable.
Upgrading and managing your subscription
Sign in to WP Shelf Billing and verify your email before your first purchase. Choose a monthly plan or a one-time pack, then complete Stripe Checkout. The allowance is updated after payment is confirmed; returning from Checkout alone does not confirm payment.
Existing subscribers use Manage subscription to change plans, update payment details or cancel. Upgrades are prorated and invoiced immediately; cheaper plans and cancellation take effect at the end of the paid period. A failed upgrade payment preserves the previous paid plan until the upgrade invoice is settled.
Pack buyers can open Invoices and payment details after purchase. A trial with no payment history has no Stripe billing account yet. Engine access is the same on every plan.
License states

| Unreachable | Your site could not reach the license server — usually a temporary network or firewall issue. Gloty keeps working from its cached status and retries. |
| Key not accepted | The license server no longer accepts the key saved on this site — for example because we replaced it at your request. Needs attention says so, and the license card has a field for the replacement key, which reconnects this site without using another site slot. Existing translations keep serving meanwhile. |
What happens if you stop paying
Your translations are in your database, so they keep being served. You stop being able to translate new content, and premium engines become unavailable — the multilingual site you already have stays online. This is the practical difference from a hosted translation SaaS, where translations are served from the vendor's cloud and disappear with the subscription.
